Vulnerability is not winning or losing. It's having the courage to show up when you can't control the outcome.

ASHLEY COOK, LCMFT, PLAY THERAPIST
As an LCMFT, I am trained to look at the presenting concerns from a systemic perspective. Considering generational trauma, family of origin details, and learning about emotional foundations are primary parts of my therapeutic process. I work with children, individuals, couples, and family systems. I pride myself in meeting my clients where they are and primarily using a solution-focused, strengths-based, and CBT approach, to name a few. The use of play therapy has helped me to connect with children in the most effective way they communicate; through play. For couples, I am a Prepare/Enrich facilitator. There is an additional cost for these individualized assessments that help couples identify areas of strength and growth within their relationship. Based on the results, there are additional worksheets specifically designed to enhance the areas of growth that will be utilized in sessions to work towards building a healthy and fulfilling, life-long relationship.
A little bit about me: I grew up on a ranch and am familiar with all that entails. I graduated from Fort Hays State University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish. From there, I moved to Spain and taught English in a small village in the Andalusia region. I am a passionate season ticket holder for the Kansas City Chiefs and my favorite little humans are my nieces and nephews (both biological and otherwise). I love to travel (three continents thus far and all over the US) and want to go on as many adventures as I can in this short life we have on this beautiful planet.
I currently accept private pay (150.00 for intakes and 135.00 per session after that). I also accept the following insurances:
